Yee Haw

Emma was on Spring Break last week so we took a day and headed off to the Rodeo. It could not have been more perfect of a day.

We were suppose to go on Thursday and meet up with some friends, but Barry was in AZ and missed the flight and had to spend another night in AZ. So, we went on Friday and took one of Emma's friends with us.

That's right. Everything is fried. Twinkies. Snicker Bars. Oreos, etc. Not had any so wouldn't know what it tastes like.

This was after we got back from the rodeo and I realized we never got a picture of us.

The girls wanted to ride the Ferris wheel and I was the lucky one to go. Hannah had to bring her purple bear that she won.

You can't go to the rodeo and not see the piggy races. This year Emma held Oreo, the pig, all by herself.

Also this year, Emma wanted to sit on the Long Horn, and yes it is a real live one.

Going to the rodeo was something Emma was looking forward to all year. Now we'd just like to get her cousins to come out and go with us!

What Went Down in February...

Emma's school had a Hoe Down in honor of the Rodeo and Livestock show starting. They practiced for weeks on their singing and dancing. Evan was Emma's partner and I'm told by Evan's mom Emma did great. She had a very strong desire to NOT do the Hoe Down and was very anxious about it. Thus, she asked that I not be there and so I respected that desire of hers.

Emma had been invited to a birthday party that took place at an equestrian center, which happened to be the same place we went to last year, for another party. Only this time Emma was excited to ride the horse and had no hesitation.

Barry turned 40! We surprised him by having his brother Dave fly in from California. Barry had no idea he was coming, so it was a true surprise for him. He really enjoyed having him around for a couple of days.
